  • Children aged ten years and younger must be given a rest break for at least 30 minutes after working continuously for one and a half hours.
  • Children aged ten years and over need to be given arrest break of at least 30 minutes after working continuously for two hours.
  • If a performance takes longer than one and a half or two hours, the rest break must then be given as soon as possible or practical


    What meal breaks must be given?

  • It is the employer’s responsibility to provide nutritious food and drinks to all child employees at all times except when they are performing.
  • The employer must provide a special dining area for all child employees.
