- The employer must sign a written contract with the parent or legal guardian of the child or with an agent.
- If the contract is signed with an agreement separate written permission must be obtained from the parent or legal guardian of the child.
- The contract must contain the following details:
a. Name and address of the employer.
b. Name, address and birth date of the child.
c. Description of the work.
d. Place or places where the child will be working.
e. Date when work stars and or ends in the case of contract work.
f. The number of days and hours of work.
g. The rate and method of calculating payment or the amount of the payment.
h. The value of any food or accommodation payment received.
i. Any other kind of cash payments.
j. Payment to be made hourly, daily, weekly, fortnightly or monthly.
k. Any deductions that are to be made from the payment.
l. Any leave the child is entitled to.
m. The period of notice required to be given from the employer’s and employee’s side.
- Any changes to the contract must be done in writing and signed by both the employer and the child’s representatives-parents, legal guardians and authorized agents.
- The employer must keep a copy of the contract during the period of employment and also for three years after the employment.
