11 % of the participants also identified forms of hazardous work or labour that they thought children are engaged in. The list included: selling, dealing or buying drugs; selling stolen things; working on farms; working in shops; domestic work; looking after younger children; prostitution; begging; delivering newspapers full time; fetching wood and water; work in unhealthy environments; transporting heavy loads, competitive or commercial sport, working in night clubs and working in escort agencies.

Clearly participants felt that a diversity of labour was hazardous. Besides the conventional types already identified by the NACL, new items on the list such us working in escort agencies, selling, dealing, carrying drugs and selling stolen items are activities not previously verbalised.
