  • Night work refers to the work done between 22h00 and before 05h00 the following day.
  • Children can work at night for a maximum of three nights only.
  • Written permission is required from the parents or legal guardians of the child employee to work at night.
  • The parents or legal guardians of the child must receive written explanation from the employer to explain why the child has to work at night.
  • The employer must compensate the child by giving an agreed allowance to perform at night.




    What play breaks must be given?

    It is the employer’s responsibility to provide a safe recreation area for children at the workplace.
